Artist Note: With the 1687 publication of Principia by Sir Isaac Newton (1643-1727) he mathematically calculated the motion of the heavenly bodies. He also knew from his observations that for every action we can expect an equal reaction. It is this natural force of gravity governed by mass that keeps the movement of planet orbits in harmony.
Artwork: The artwork considers the dual relationship between orchestration (musical resonance) and choreography (dance movement). Astronomers who study the rhythmic pattern or orbital resonance of planets have found that the orbital sequencing of them mimics musical notes or the Songs of a Solar System. 2.
